Financial AidTarget lower and middle-income students with more accessible financial aid options, such as bursaries, scholarships and awards |
What and Why?The greatest barrier to education is the funding required to attend. This is especially forceful to our lower and middle income students, whom are forced to take on astonishing student loans to pay for their tuition. While we cannot ask the university to lower their tuition substantially lower, we can provide more accessible and plentiful financial aid to students. Namely, the tax credits set aside by the provincial government often remain inaccessible to our students and those funds would be more appropriately used in the forms of scholarships, awards, bursaries and grants that students could better access.
